Dave Fox is a drum set artist and educator residing in the Boston area.  He currently performs and records with Jazz artists such as The Phil Grenadier Quartet, David Tronzo, Pat Loomis, Andre Hayward, Kevin Harris, 3Play+ (Josh Rosen and Lello Mollinari), Low Profile and The Wendy Nottonson Quartet. Dave is the leader of both the straight ahead acoustic Jazz group “DF Trio” and the electronic, experimental, free group “DF4: adventure in sound”, which features David Tronzo, Josh Rosen, and Bruno Raberg. 

In addition to  performing and recording, Dave stays very active in the field of marching percussion education. He is currently the Director of Percussion for both the fall and winter marching percussion programs at Blackstone-Millville High School in Blackstone, MA, as well as arranger for the fall percussion program. He has been a staff member of Thom Hannum’s Mobile Percussion Seminar since 1998, and in 2004 became a member of the Vic Firth Education Team as a Marching Percussion Specialist. Dave has had the privilege of being a student of master percussionists: Walter Tokarczyk;  Thom Hannum;  Billy Ward;  and his personal mentor, master drummer, Bob Gullotti, with whom Dave still continues a long-standing study. Dave is an endorser of Vic Firth sticks and mallets.
